Higher Institute of Commerce and Management (HICM) is one of the apt professional schools of The University of Bamenda. At HICM, students who leave as job creators not job seekers are given holistic training which meet international standard and are exposed to a huge ecosystem of economic opportunities. The school has graduated over 600 students since 2014; most of whom have been absorbed in enterprises across the country. The institute has an ICT Center where students are trained on latest communication technologies with chances to sit in for international certification examinations such as International Microsoft Specialist Certification. At HICM, the world of opportunities is just so wide. Entry is by competitive entrance examination for students with the Arts, Science and Commercial backgrounds at the GCE A-Level/Baccalaureate. The school runs four departments: Accounting, Management, Marketing, and Insurance and Security.
